Capabilities

We mill it. We blend it. We answer for it.

Chesapeake Spice is a manufacturer and importer, not a blend shop. Owning the process from field to finished seasoning is what lets us hold cost, consistency and food safety at the level our customers require.

The integrated process

Six controlled steps, all under our roof

01

Direct sourcing

We travel the globe visiting spice farms, examining crops and building long-term grower relationships, giving us control of cost, quality and continuity of supply.

02

Cleaning

All raw spices are cleaned in-house using several proprietary methods before they ever enter the mill — the first control point in a fully owned process.

03

Milling

We mill our own raw materials rather than buying pre-ground inputs. That means granulation, color and flavor are specified to your finished product, not to a supplier's catalog.

04

Blending

Custom seasoning blends to exact specification, in batches up to 20,000 pounds, run in individual processing rooms designed to prevent cross-contamination.

05

Packaging

Bags, boxes and drums — from 1 ounce sachets to 2,000 pound super-sacks — configured to how your plant actually runs.

06

Culinary R&D

A dedicated culinary center where chefs and food scientists build, benchmark and iterate flavor systems, with rapid sample turnaround and fast document response.

Manufacturing footprint

Scale on both coasts

Our plants were built from the ground up on the principles of lean manufacturing flow, clean design and energy conservation — stainless steel throughout, with individual processing rooms so product enters raw and leaves finished without reprocessing.

  • Belcamp, Maryland

New ~210,000 sq ft facility anchoring East Coast production and R&D.

  • Reno, Nevada

    Western distribution and manufacturing hub.

  • West Coast plant

Purpose-built capacity serving western and Pacific customers.
